Tom Sanderson is Chairman & CEO of Transplace. Since 2003, Tom has led the company to substantial success and continued growth. Under Tom’s leadership, Transplace launched Consulting, International and Mexico subsidiaries, extending the company’s comprehensive services for its customers. In addition, Tom has led the company to achieve dozens of industry awards. In 2009, Transplace was awarded with the Global Logistics and Supply Chain Strategies “100 Great Supply Chain Partners” distinction for the sixth consecutive year and by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as a “Top 100” provider in supply chain transformation for the fourth consecutive year. Transplace was recognized by Inbound Logistics as a Top 10 3PL for the seventh consecutive year and honored with the EPA’s SmartWay Environmental Excellence Award for making significant contributions to protect the environment. In 2005, Sanderson implemented Lean Six Sigma achieving millions of dollars per year in savings for Transplace and its customers.
Tom has a master’s in Business from Indiana University.

George Abernathy
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Since joining Transplace in 2004, George Abernathy has produced a lengthy list of corporate accomplishments, including strong leadership to bridge Sales, Marketing and Operations, the annual Shipper Symposium, a 2006 rebranding effort, the creation of the Customer Advisory Board and leading the sales team in a growth of more than 20 percent within two years of joining the company. In 2009, George was named Marketing Executive of the Year by the Transportation Marketing Communications Association and he was named a 2007 Supply & Demand Chain Executive ‘Pro to Know.’
George received his bachelor’s degree from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Vincent Biddlecombe
Executive Vice President & Chief Technology Officer

Thanks in part to the efforts of Vincent Biddlecombe, Transplace was a 2009 CIO Top 100 award recipient, presented to companies creating new business value by innovating with technology. This distinguished honor acknowledges the proprietary technology strength of Transplace. Since joining the company, Vincent has lead many IT projects including: converting Transplace’s entire infrastructure to a virtual environment; implementing a new business continuation plan; testing and deploying Business Intelligence tools; and developing a SaaS delivery process whereby customers utilize Transplace software outside of their browsers. Prior to joining Transplace, Vincent held the positions of Vice President of Information Technology at Ruan Transportation and Director of System Architecture at US Freightways Corporation. He earned a bachelor’s of Commerce in Economics and Business Administration from the University of South Africa.

In his role as Senior Vice President, Sales & Alliances, Matthew Menner leads the field sales organization, develops and executes alliance programs, oversees industry analyst relations and influences marketing/communications strategies for Transplace.
Matthew earned an AA (1990) in Liberal Arts from Green Mountain College, a BS (1990) in Business Administration/Marketing Management and MBA (1994) in Transportation & Distribution/Marketing Management from Syracuse University. He was honored by Syracuse University in 2007 as Young Alumni of the Year and was the 1997 Green Mountain College Young Alumni of the Year Award Recipient.
Matthew serves as the President of the Franklin Supply Chain Management Advisory Board at Syracuse University's Whitman School of Management and also serves on the school's executive advisory board. He was also recently appointed to the position of Vice President, Strategic Development for the Council of Supply Chain Professional (CSCMP) New England Roundtable.
He serves as a Green Mountain College Trustee, holding positions as a member of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Development Committee for the Comprehensive Capital Campaign (first in the history of the 170 year old institution, achieving US$9.5M (+120%) against a goal of US$8.0M), and Nominating Committee, recently completing his role as a member of his second Presidential Search Committee.
In the battle against cancer, Matthew is the Captain & Chief Operating Officer for Team Eradicate of the Pan Mass Challenge. This team of 30 riders who have raised in excess of a $1.3M in nine years, contributing meaningfully to the aggregate fundraising for the Pan Mass Challenge of $270M+.

Brent Hudspeth

Since joining Transplace in 2009, Brent has steered numerous consulting projects focused on realizing incremental supply chain cost savings and transportation efficiencies for an array of CPG, retail, building products and other customers. The Consulting Tool Kit deployed has included a mix of transportation procurement, network design, supply chain best practices and optimization technologies.
